System design
Design a service end to end: scope it, sketch it, go deep where it matters and defend the trade-offs.
Scored on: requirements and scope; high-level design; deep dives; trade-offs; communication.
Mock interviews
Practise a real interview round with a screened diomgis mentor who has sat on the other side of the table, and get a written scorecard.
Practice and honest feedback. Nobody can promise you a job, and we do not.
It runs on the same mentoring you already know: a request, a session on the mentor's own link, and your mentoring page.
Find one who runs the round you face, at your level. Filter the mentors by interview type.
Say the role and level, and the type of interview. Add the job description or a link, and when the real interview is, if you know. The mentor sees only what you choose to share.
Each mentor sets their own price, and some offer mock interviews with no payment. You pay through diomgis or directly to the mentor, as they choose, and diomgis takes no commission. The mentor schedules it on their own video link.
Afterwards the mentor writes you a scorecard: a score for each part of the interview, a practice verdict, your strengths, what to work on and topics to study, linked to your skill profile. Only the two of you see it, and you can print it.
Each scorecard scores the parts that matter for that round, from 1 to 5, at the level you target: entry level, mid-level, senior, staff or principal, lead or manager.
Design a service end to end: scope it, sketch it, go deep where it matters and defend the trade-offs.
Scored on: requirements and scope; high-level design; deep dives; trade-offs; communication.
A business case to architect: context and constraints, options, quality attributes, risks, and the story for stakeholders.
Scored on: business context and requirements; options and the chosen architecture; quality attributes: security, scale and cost; trade-offs and risks; stakeholder communication.
Frame an ML or LLM problem, then data, modelling and evaluation, serving and monitoring.
Scored on: problem framing and metrics; data; modelling and evaluation; serving and monitoring; trade-offs and communication.
A coding problem worked through aloud: approach, correct code, tests and complexity.
Scored on: problem solving; correctness and testing; code quality; complexity analysis; communication.
Stories from your work: ownership, impact, conflict and what you learned, told clearly.
Scored on: structured answers; ownership and impact; collaboration and conflict; self-awareness and growth; communication.
The conversation with the person you would report to: motivation, fit, depth and judgement.
Scored on: motivation and fit; understanding of the role; depth of experience; judgement and priorities; questions for the manager.
Every scorecard ends with a practice verdict: hire, lean hire, lean no hire, no hire. It is the mentor's view of one practice round, labelled as practice.
Every mentor here was screened before their profile went live.
If you interview engineers or architects for a living, run mock interviews on diomgis. You choose the types and levels, set your own price, and diomgis takes no commission.
No one can promise that, and we do not. A mock interview is practice: one round with one mentor, and the practice verdict is their view of that round, not a prediction of any hiring decision. What it gives you is a rehearsal and honest, specific feedback while there is still time to act on it.
Each mentor sets their own price for a mock interview, shown on their profile, and some offer them with no payment. You pay only once the mentor schedules it, and you see the amount first. diomgis takes no commission. Once your mentor confirms a paid session, it cannot be changed or refunded, apart from your one emergency change. See the refund policy.
Only you and the mentor you ask. The job description, the role and your interview date go with your request; the scorecard is on your mentoring page and theirs. Neither is ever public or shown to other mentors. They are deleted with the request, or with your account.
Yes. Open it from your mentoring page and print it, or save it as a PDF. It says it is a practice verdict.
No. Any member can ask for a mock interview, with or without a course seat. When you want to go further, see the courses.
Yes. You can have up to 3 requests waiting at a time, one per mentor. After a mock interview, your mentor can schedule another with you, or you can ask a different mentor for a different round.
From your mentor profile: tick “I run mock interviews”, choose the types and the levels you can interview for, and set your price. Not a mentor yet? Apply to mentor.
